Leigh + Mike

The BRIDGE get down

Fire and fun was the name of their love.
The heat from the love that these two had towards each other only proved that their party was going to get d o w n.

We had a “city meets intimate living” vision & blended the venue’s industrial aesthetic and their personal style to create a one-of-a-kind experience their love deserved. We custom built a romantic cement wall and 25 copper metal pillars, hired the best club DJ in town, brought in velvet lounge furniture, and tadaaa… one helluva party.

Leigh knew she wanted jewell tones from the very start,. & let me tell ya…it did N O T dissapoint.
She sourced her own bridesmaid dresses through her favorite Denver boutique & the guys selected slick navy suits.

To embrace their untraditional style, we opt’d out of boutonnieres for pocket squares
& leather bouquet ties instead of silk for a modern/industrial look.

Also, S O L O moment for the flowers.

Leigh & Mike also knew they H A D to have it at Coohill’s restaurant. They live close and had seen a few weddings out on the bridge & loved the idea so much, they didn’t bother looking anywhere else.

The problem with a public bridge, is keeping it contained from the passer-byres. So, we designed this functional & or course, beautiful “blockade” & event backdrop specifically for them.

From large scale plaster to welding 20 towers we put our design skills to test to create one of our favorite installations to date. The cement wall was designed to contrast a masculine vs. feminine through texture and touches of gold foil. Our decorative copper pillars ranged from 8’ to 1’ tall to create dimension & serve as unique sign displays throughout the event. Finally, we added some lighting, greenery globes, & this bridge was set to throw a once in a lifetime experience.

After the ceremony, guests were invited inside for cocktail hour for yummy apps and an open bar with their signature drink - a spicy margarita.

Dinner service was a casual vibe with a variety of stations around every corner. Our sign “ Please sit where you see fit” prompted guests to relax in an open seating experience throughout the restaurant’s existing booths and lounges.
( yes, this is super common and yes, Aunt Sheila might complain she doesn’t have a seat with her name on it, but I promise she will survive and change is good. )

tbh - I didn’t have to post this picture….in fact, I probably shouldn’t have. It was during a cocktail hour flip, which we always like to say is no big deal…but it’s still a lot of work and an even bigger mess. Not sure how an uplight ended up on the coffee table, the lounge got shuffled around & the DJ’s wardrobe change is hanging on the chair. But ehhh, life is bigger than perfection & these moments are worth everything and it will mean something to them, and more importantly to her. she will remember being surrounded by all her girls, her ride or dies.

plus the lounge decor we picked was wicked F I R E.

When tequila & l u c k are in the same sentence…IM IN.
Leigh and Mike had told me of this tradition; burry a bottle of tequila for good luck where you say your I DO’s & dig it up on the big day. A year out, they were sneaky sneaksters & did exactly that. There was some serious anticipation when Mike start digging if it had been already found by a hobo over the course of a year…but that wouldn’t be very lucky would it. ;)

All I can say is…hire a club DJ.
Did you ask for my advice? Anyways…there is no party like a Kcidy Party.

There is something surreal about dancing under the stars, but to dance in the city, with your b e s t friends under the stars is much much more.
I will forever remember their love and this night.
